Every person has a unique story. As a volunteer, you help someone to record that story in a personal Life Book.

You are going to have a conversation with a resident about life: special moments, memories, choices and experiences. Sometimes these are wonderful events, sometimes difficult periods. With attentiveness and involvement, you help someone to look back, give meaning and keep memories alive.

You listen, ask questions and write down the story in the first person. In this way, step by step, a life storybook is created that truly belongs to the other person. A tangible memory, for themselves and often also for family and loved ones.

This volunteering work is special and valuable. You build up personal contact while also developing your own listening and writing skills. You do not need to be an experienced writer. You will receive training and regular support throughout the writing process. An interest in people and the ability to listen attentively are what matter most.
